The Alumni & Placement Relations Department is delighted to share the honorable achievement of our College of Medicine alumnus Dr. Hamad Al-Draye, who was a speaker at the prestigious World Economic Forum.
Dr. Al-Draye participated in the Fueling Action for Mental Health session. Here are some insights from Dr. Al-Draye on the session:
We were honored to be invited to talk at the World Economic Forum's Special Meeting in Riyadh. Our session on "Fueling Action for Mental Health" helps us understand the factors affecting our mental wellness and encourages action for better mental wellbeing.
I highlighted the significance of "Emotional First Aid" and supporting ourselves and others during imbalances in wellness pillars. “83% of organizations have mental wellness programs. However, 81% of employee feel mentally drained and unwell” I tried to tackle the aspects affecting our mental health in the workplace and encourage dialogue to help manage the “Invisible Condition” The session ended with a Q&A on available mental health technologies & how youth communities like @GlobalShapers can take the lead in improving the state of mental health.
