International Women's Day is a celebration that takes place on the eighth day of March of each year. It is held to demonstrate respect, appreciation and love of women for their economic, political and social achievements. The first celebration was held following the first World Women's Democratic Conference held in Paris in 1945.

As part of Alfaisal University’s corporate social responsibility, the initiative to celebrate International Women’s Day took place in Princess Haya Auditorium on Firday March 8th 2019. Alfaisal University collaborated with a group of Heal Your Life Arabia Teachers (HYLT) who are a group ladies that provide self-development & empowerment workshops for individuals that are seeking change in their lives. Some of the HYLT are also life coaches and offer life coaching sessions.
